The statistics page gives a variety of stats about the PST file.

Page Statistics

  • Active Pages The total number of pages in the file (NBT, BBT, and ?MAP pages), total size
  • BBT The total number of BBT pages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used
  • NBT The total number of NBT pages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used
  • AMap The total number of AMap pages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used
  • FMap The total number of FMappages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used
  • PMap The total number of PMappages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used
  • FPMap The total number of FPMappages in the file, total size, percentage of total page space used

Block Statistics

  • Active Blocks The total number of active blocks in the file, total size
  • External The total number of external blocks, total size, percentage of total block space used
  • XBlock The total number of extended blocks, total size, percentage of total block space used
  • XXBlock The total number of level 2 extended blocks, total size, percentage of total block space used
  • SBlock The total number of subnode blocks, total size, percentage of total block space used
  • Reused Blocks The total number of blocks referenced more than twice, total size, percentage of total block space used
  • Largest Logical Block The largest extended block (logical size) in the file, and it's size

Node Statistics

  • Messages Total number of messages currently in the file, percentage of messages which have ever existed
  • Associated Messages Total number of associated messages currently in the file, percentage of associated messages which have ever existed
  • Folders Total number of folders currently in the file, percentage of folders which have ever existed
  • Search Folders Total number of search folders currently in the file, percentage of search folders which have ever existed
  • Last Modified Node The last node in the file to be modified. This is the node referencing the highest BID.

General Info

  • File Size Total file size
  • Percentage Free Space Percentage of space in the file which is not allocated (marked as free in the amap)
  • Percent BID Address Space Used Percentage of the BID address space (a 64 byte value) used. This number should be very low. This is meant to contrast ANSI files, which had a 32 byte value for the BID address space.
